After what feels like forever, it’s great to be preparing to get back out in touch with real, actual people again! This Saturday, 7th August, the newly renovated St Nicholas Quarter in Dundalk will be the place to be! As the Urban Seek Festival comes to its conclusion, gazebos will be set up to house the Louth Craftmark Summer Fair.
I’m looking forward to being in the best of company as 12 other members of Louth Craftmark and myself set up our wares for the public to peruse and hopefully purchase. I’ve spent the last few weeks getting lots of colourful glass ready to show off.
You’ll also find Etaoin O’Reilly Ceramics; Alison Duffy – Paper.Pencil.Ink; Mariel O’Keefe – Handmade artisan soaps; Kathleen Mulholland – Handmade bags and journals; Michele Hannan Ceramics; Tracy Fry – Visual artist; Ciara Agnew Art – Paintings and prints; Rozzi Kennedy Artist – painting and prints; Bláthnaid McClean – Beetzi T-Shirts; Paula Stapleton – Contemporary tableware; Caroline Duffy Designs – Artist and textile designer; and Sarah McKenna Ceramics.
All in all, it promises to be a very enjoyable day, no matter what the weather. So spread the word, grab an umbrella – and maybe your sun cream, and we’ll see you there!
