Preparations have been underway for many months, and after a month’s delay, due to Covid, Ireland’s leading trade event for those in creative industries, finally begins this weekend.

Held in Dublin’s RDS over four days, this event is not open to the general public, but rather to buyers from retail outlets throughout Ireland and the world, who come to see what Irish makers are up to, and place their wholesale orders to stock their shops for the year ahead.

I am delighted to learn that my cocktail swizzle sticks have been shortlisted for award, so will go on display at the entrance to the event, with all the other shortlisted products! Wish me luck! It’s an event I really enjoy, as it gives us makers an often rare opportunity to chat to those who stock our products nationwide and beyond. And after a couple of years’ absence due to the pandemic, this will be a wonderful chance for a catch-up!
