Showcase is Ireland’s leading creative trade event, held annually in the RDS, Dublin. Buyers from retail outlets in Ireland and around the world, come to see what Irish craftspeople have been working on, and to place orders for the year ahead.

I was delighted to be win an award in the LEO (Local Enterprise Office) category of the Showcase Best Product awards, for my brightly coloured Set of 4 Tall Cocktail Swizzle Sticks in Carnival Colours. What a thrill, and an honour, to have my work recognised by those in the industry.

Another highlight was having Minister Heather Humphries, TD, visit my stand during Showcase. To have such a busy person, Minister for Rural and Community Development, and Minister for Social Protection, take the time to support those small businesses from her constituency of Monaghan and Cavan, was very much appreciated.

It was a very successful event, and it was a pleasure to finally engage face to face again, with my lovely customers, old and new.

Now back in my studio, I’m busy making lots of glass, to fill the orders received during Showcase, for the summer season ahead.
